A unity of form and function, Paxton reimagines 1970s postmodern architecture. A sleek X-shaped column of burnished metal rises to meet a linen drum shade, conjoining mass and airiness, crisp angles and organic curves. The top of the column peeks through a cutout in the closed-top shade, offering restrained embellishment.
